Jordan + Sam had a beautiful, classic Kansas City wedding, downtown in the Crossroads at The Harlow! They’ve been together a long time, and like many, had to reschedule due to COVID-19. The delay just made this day even more special!
I loved the modern, bold, simplicity of Jordan + Sam’s details.
Jordan also had her grandma's vintage purse! It was the perfect amount of detail to her sleek white dress.
The girls helped set up the venue and partied while they got their hair and make up done.
Let’s pop the champagne and get this party started!!
Btw, if you’ve ever wondered about doing a first look with your bridesmaids… let this be your sign YES you should!!!
Jordan + Sam did their first look in the reception space at the Harlow and read their vows to each other on a black leather couch.
Jordan, was there a specific part of the day that made it officially feel real? (When did it soak in that you're marrying the love of your life?!)
“When we got back from pictures and were waiting in the Bridal Suite room with the entire wedding party and I could hear all of our guests arriving at the venue, it started to hit me that it was really happening. And when I was the last one in the Bridal Suite and my Dad walked in, it REALLY hit me!”
What was your favorite part of your day?
“One of my favorite parts was finally getting to walk down the aisle. Because of the curtain set up at the Harlow, I couldn't see any of the guests or the ceremony space, or Sam until walking down at that moment… I had the most overwhelming feeling of love and intimacy with all of our favorite people being in one place to celebrate our love.”
I love the neutral bridesmaid dresses that Jordan chose and the guys all looked amazing in their classy black suits. With the floor to ceiling windows, and gauzy, white curtains, this ceremony space was dreamyyyy. And don’t even get me started on that chandelier!!
After speeches, some heartwarming, some hilarious… the newlyweds had their first dance.
What was your first dance song + How did you choose your first dance song?
“We were on our way to Colorado when Sam said he thought he had found the perfect one: ‘Beyond’ by Leon Bridges. When he played it in the car, I automatically started crying, so we pretty much knew it was perfect and the words just fit perfectly with our love story.”
Jordan had her first dance with her dad, then Sam had his with his mom. Then everyone was ready to party!!

What did you love about The Harlow?
“I loved the exposed brick, the grey velvet curtain, how intimate it felt being a little smaller of a space and when the sun went down and the chandelier was the main source of light for the dance floor making it feel even more intimate than it already was.”

How was your experience with Natalie?
“From start to finish, Natalie was so organized and a joy to work with. And when it came to the day of, she knew exactly what she was doing. She was able to work with our huge wedding party and guide everyone with simple directions as well as guide us on how to pose, what to do next, and on the opposite side of things, capture candid pictures as well. She even got our sneak peek gallery to us THAT NIGHT and our official wedding gallery to us within a month. She truly did an amazing job and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.”
Favorite part about working with Natalie?
“Her cool, calm, collected, and confident attitude on our wedding day made me feel so at ease.”
What is some advice you'd share with a future couple that is planning their wedding day?
“Do not sweat the small details… Go into the day knowing something will go wrong or won't turn out exactly how you planned it. You either hired someone to take care of that or your family and friends will step in to help ensure it all runs smoothly. For the things that don't run smoothly, you are the only one who knows that, your guests will never know or think twice about it.”
Congrats again to Jordan + Sam!!
