The Whitsell's summer wedding at Tobacco Barn Farm was one of those weddings that left me thinking… Wow, I just love my job! Kansas City was showin’ off with the perfect summer weather, clear blue skies, and foliage at its peak green.
“The final stages of getting ready made it feel real. Jamming to 90s hits with my best girls in the bridal suite, sipping champagne, laughing and feeling SO happy. I knew it was game time when I put on my dress with the help of my Mom and MOH. BEST DAY EVER!!”
Megan’s mom tied a few special details into the bridal bouquet: lace & beading from her wedding dress, a lucky 2021 penny, and a charm engraved with their names and wedding date.
This was such a sweet way to add a touch of personalization to their wedding details, especially the lace from her mom’s dress!
One of Megan’s favorite parts of the day was her first look with her dad. They’ve always had a super strong bond and she knows he loves Andrew too! It was such a special moment for the two of them.
Another favorite moment for the couple was sharing their vows in the Secret Garden at Tobacco Barn Farm! They were so happy they carved out that time to be alone and take a breath among the busy day.
The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony by the pond! Megan said their wedding day felt like an out-of-body experience.
“It's an indescribable, AMAZING, and surreal experience to have all of your favorite people, from all over the country, come together to celebrate your love.”
The bridesmaids dresses, from Bella Bridesmaid, were varying shades of green. The groomsmen looked so handsome in their green bow ties!
At their reception, they had a sweet memory table with pictures of their grandparents watching from Heaven. I LOVED their signature cocktail bar signage in honor of their pups ... created by Christine at Script!
The Prosecco Truck by Fizzolino was such a unique idea for their cocktail hour!
Let’s take a moment for the dessert table. It was honestly one of the most beautiful parts of their whole day. The colorful macaroons, cookies, cookie sandwiches, cheesecake brownie bites, cupcakes, and key lime tarts….. This is art. And wow, was it DELISH.
This “marry me” sign is actually what Andrew used to propose to Megan!

Megan + Andrew’s first dance song was “Love After All” by Luke Combs. The first time they heard this song, they got chills and knew it was the song for them!
The dance floor opened and their guests had a freakin’ blast!
I asked Megan how she felt while she looked through these wedding photos.
She said, “Grateful, Thankful, Happy ... there aren't enough adjectives to describe the joy I felt seeing our photos! I have looked at them DAILY since you shared them with us and joked with Andrew that I was going to create a custom wallpaper with our wedding photos ... for every room in our home.”
I love working with couples that have the same priorities as me!! The Whitsells were looking for vibrant, timeless photos versus airy and edited photos.
They also said candid shots were important to them over the posed pics. Candid photos were easy with two people so clearly in love! Look at how beautiful these turned out.
What was your favorite part about working with Natalie? “You are the best! What's not to love about working with you? On top of being such a kind and positive person, you are organized, fun, flexible, informative and SO TALENTED.”
What is some advice you'd share with a future couple that is planning their wedding day? “When selecting your team of vendors - go with your gut and don't look back! Day of advice? Enjoy the day and soak it all in... It goes too fast! Hire Natalie! :)”
How was your experience with Natalie? “Can I give 100 stars out of 5? Perfect from start to finish. You are so easy to work with, organized & fun! You captured our day beautifully and I'm forever grateful.”
Thank you eternally for your kind words, Megan!!
