Liz and Scott planned a classic wedding at Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO. Even though they wanted to keep their ceremony traditional they made sure to plan a surprise for their guests at their reception to guarantee a memorable night.

Liz and Scott have known each other for years. When they first met Liz immediately put Scott in the friend-zone, little did she know their relationship would change a few years later.

They fell in love and the rest is history. They bonded over their love for God and kept faith in their relationship. They knew they wanted to get married in a church. A wedding at Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Kansas City would be gorgeous.

Their wedding was on a summer afternoon. Their friends and family filled the beautiful wooden pews and the suns rays fell in through the stain glass windows.

Their minister filled his sermon with their own personal anecdotes which made their ceremony completely unique to them. As they gave their vows in front of their family, their closest friends, and in the presence of God there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

After their love-filled ceremony it was time for the reception! Dinner and dancing made for an awesome night but Liz and Scott had a surprise up their sleeve. Since neither of them love cake they opted out of the traditional cake cutting and instead had the coolest dessert ever (!!!!) …..and ICE CREAM TRUCK! (I mean com’on, it does not get ANY BETTER than that!)

Their guests were SO excited. They got to go outside and enjoy the warm summer evening all while enjoying their refreshing treat. It differently put a spin on their wedding reception and made it a night no one will forget.
